Bishop Buddy Council 6031 Knights of Columbus based at St. Gabriel Catholic Church is pleased to announce that we have awarded nearly $37,900 in scholarships to 29 Poway students.

The Knights evaluate the candidates based on Academics, Church Service, Community Service and Need.

The scholarship winners for 2025 are Alex Lim, Alex Obert, Ana Karolina Navarro, Carla Baranda Arias, Charlotte Crudale, Dalila Zambrano, Dillon Walters, Emanuel Martinez, Gabby Majchrzak, Isabella Lynch, Jack Campbell, Jack Skalsky, Jake Jaro, Jalina Piranio, Katie Graves, Kiara Bowser, Leo Graves, Maggie Woods, Maryjane Widjaja, Max Graves, Maya Pekarek, Michael Salvatori, Miguel Baranda Chamu, Patrick Garmon, Peyton Jaro, Richard Obert, Robert Salvatori, Thomas Campbell and Vanessa Baranda Chamu.

The Jim Tom Cavanaugh Memorial Scholarship is for applicants in the broadcasting, or business.  The 2025 winner is Katie Graves.

The Deacon Bob Troy Memorial Scholarship is an award that acknowledges the best of the best of our candidates.   Our winner has achieved a 4.1 GPA, earned the California Civic Seal of Engagement and a Seal of Biliteracy.  She is a Best Pals leader.  This club befriends students with disabilities.  At St Gabriel, she has been a CCD teacher, and a frequent volunteer for Helping Hands Distributions. She aspires to be a neonatal ICU nurse.  Our winner is Maya Pekarek.
