April is a time of renewal and for many, a time when food insecurity takes it toll on Easter celebrations. During the Covid-19 crisis, the situation for many households is one of reduced or no income.  In the spirit of charitable acts and in keeping with its stated Mission, to serve others in need, the Knights of Columbus Parish 6031 contributed to the efforts of St. Gabriel’s church.

The goal was to prepare food and essential items to give through the St Vincent de Paul society to those in need.

After the event, St Gabriel Church posted on their facebook page:

“Thank you Knights of Columbus Council 6031 for sponsoring last weekend’s food distribution in cooperation with SVDP. 200 boxes of food, diapers and gift cards were given out to those in need in our community!”
