In 2025, we saw December turn cold and it created an urgency in providing coats for newborns through 17 years old. We saw a 50% increase in need for warm coats for our kids in our community. As Knights we are called to serve our community and parish and we did.
We distributed 341 coats to PUSD (Abraxas, Valley Elementary and Youth in Transition). We also distributed 20 toddler coats to Life Choices and 107 coats to our kids at St Gabriel. In total we distributed 468 coats to kids, the MOST EVER. The sizes ranged from 35 toddler coats to 336 children’s coats and 97 adult coats. The St Gabriel Knights spent over $10,000 in purchasing the coats this year. We were fortunate to have some funds remaining from last year and were able to get over $5000 in donations in December 2025. Thank you, St Gabriel, for your generous support for the Coats for Kids program that helps so many children be warm this winter.
