Rich has been a Knight for 12 years, recruited by Brother Pete Kapitzke and started his officer roles 6 years ago under PGK Ed Franklin who he thanks for motivating him to get more involved with the Knights. He is proud and humbled to be entrusted with leadership of the Council. He has a wife of 32 years and 3 wonderful children. He is an SDSU fan and alum, enjoys working out, snow skiing and water activities and serving on the Executive Board for the Boys and Girls Club of Greater San Diego and as Chair for the Mountain Shadows Support Board Group.

Rich was the Grand Knight of this Council for two years, from 2019 to July of 2021. Located at St. Gabriel Catholic Church, Poway, CA, he volunteers time, talent and economic support to the community at large. He is instrumental in directing assistance efforts for individuals and the community.
