Welcome to our new and improved Knights of Columbus Council 6031 website! Visit us at www.powayknights.com. This website has several new features to help organize and inform our fellow Knights and public regarding what’s going on in the council. New features include a calendar with dates and information for upcoming events, a photo gallery of past Knights and St. Gabriel events and of course information on the upcoming on-line A Knight To Remember fundraiser being held on November 7, 2020.
After months of hard work and dedication, we are delighted to officially announce the launch on July 11, 2020. We wanted to make the new website meet today’s web standards, provide much more functionality for members and those considering membership, and make it mobile friendly.
“The Poway Knights of Columbus Council #6031 is an energized group of men committed to giving back to their community and their Parish. The site that was previously in place was built in the prior decade, and missed all of the elements required for mobile optimization and utility. In order to sign up volunteers, the members of this charitable organization rarely visited their own website. This was remedied by the new, engaging responsive website I built,” explains Teresa Young, the web developer for this undertaking.
All verbiage, strategic goal messaging and choice of images was developed by Young based on information provided by some of the Knights, as well as from her research. The volunteer sign up forms are easily managed and published via the back end Editor. In addition, shop items now appear on the site, including dues payments online. Further to this, a complete listing of officers with bios now gives a friendly face to the Poway Knights– see this page! As a highly regarded charitable organization, making information regarding practices, membership, Bylaws, events and charities we support easily accessible for our current and prospective members was important for the Poway Knights members. Our goal with this new website is to provide everyone an easier way to learn about us, and to browse information based on their own choice.
Our current and prospective members will find useful information about our services on the homepage of our website. Among the new features the site contains an integrated social media button for Facebook to foster improved communication with the members.
